Vet Art Project at Truman College

Vet Art Project will be hosting workshops at Truman College, something which we hope will be a more frequent occurrence. Details are below!

“Surrealist Art Making & Reflection”
Using the paranoiac critical method as established by Salvador Dali participants will draw inspiration from bleach-stained papers and express their own experiences. They will have an opportunity to discuss what they drew and why they think those images came about. This workshop is open to all veterans, friends, and family members of veterans. All materials for the workshop will be provided
Facilitated by: Edgar Gonzalez-Baeza, Veteran & Teaching Artist

The Vet Art Project creates opportunities for veterans and family members to work in collaboration with artists from all disciplines to create new art about war and service for personal transformation and occasional public performance and viewing. The program aims to support our veterans and family members, create stronger voices among our veterans, provide new opportunities for artists, offer a venue to hear the voices of our veterans and artists, and foster discussions about how war affects us all.
